Lewis Vargo's Obituary
Mr. Lewis Vargo, age 80, of Spring Lake passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2011. He was born on October 1, 1931 to John and Julia Vargo in Coopersville. He worked for the Michigan Carpenters Union prior to his retirement in 1993. He enjoyed woodworking, car shows, farming and watching boats at the Grand Haven channel. He served his country in the National Guard during the Korean War.
Survivors include his very special friend, Cora Banasiak; 5 children: Vicki (Alan) Aksel of Orlando, FL, Chris Vargo, Jack (Teresa) Vargo, Roger Vargo, and Norm (Jennifer) Vargo; 9 grandchildren; and brother, Joseph (Rose) Vargo.
Visitation with the family will be 6-8 PM Thursday, October 6, 2011 at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Spring Lake. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, October 7, 2011 at Spring Lake Cemetery with Rev. Dan Anderson officiating. Memorials to Hospice of North Ottawa Community are appreciated.
