Lewis H. Cochran's Obituary
Mr. Lewis H. Cochran, age 100, died Wednesday, October 20, 2004 in Muskegon. He was born on April 5, 1904 in Muskegon and attended the local schools in the county. Mr. Cochran had been employed by Consumers Power Company from May 10, 1923 until he retired in 1969. He married the former Leona I. Greene on May 28, 1926 at the Ravenna Methodist Church, and she preceded him in death on January 25, 2000. Mr. Cochran was a member of the AFL and CIO Union 103. SURIVORS include, 1 daughter, Della Garvey; 4 grandchildren, Edward (Betty) Garvey, Wesley (Hilda) Garvey, Verna (Duane) Garvey Braden, and Virginia (Mike) Garvey Delgado; many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; and other relatives. Mr. Cochran was also preceded in death by 1 sister, Aleta Miles. SERVICES will be 1 PM Saturday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Rev. Lynette Gillett of Church of God United officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Friday and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday.
