Mr. Lewis S. “Steve” Thompson, Jr., age 31, died very unexpectedly Thursday, December 18, 2003. He was born October 19, 1972 in Muskegon to Lewis S. Thompson, Sr. and Nancy Ortiz and was a life resident of the area. On July 26, 2003, he married the former Marlene K. Mink in Ravenna, and she survives him. He was formerly employed as a die setter for Dilesco Corp. Other survivors include 3 children, Lewis S. “Steve” Thompson III and Kendra Lee Thompson both of Buckley, MI, and Kennedy Bergren of Muskegon; 2 step-daughters, Amanda L. and Andrea L. Lockard of Fruitport; mother, Nancy (Jerry) McIntyre of Muskegon; father, Lewis (Linda) Thompson, Sr. of Reed City, MI; 3 brothers, Phillip (Estie) Thompson of Grant, Paul W. Thompson and Tim (Sara) Thompson both of Muskegon; 3 sisters, Judy LaVesseur, Robin (Rodney) Morris, and Angela Jones all of Muskegon; grandparents, Delores Barber of Muskegon, and Lewis (Betty) Thompson of Shelby; his companion and pet dog, “Brut”; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Antonia and Luis Ortiz, and his aunt, Lillian (Ortiz) Broughman. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held 10:00 AM Monday, December 22, 2003 at St. Mary’s Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Jeff Sumner officiating. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to his children, Lewis “Steve”, Kendra and Kennedy.
