Mrs. Lillian V. Chandonnet's Obituary
Mrs. Lillian V. Chandonnet, age 90, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022, in Grand Haven. She was born December 9, 1931, to Franciszek “Frank” and Wyktoria “Victoria” (Macior) Swiatek in Muskegon and was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Lillian had worked at Kaydon Corporation for over 30 years before retiring in 1988. On December 31, 1960, she married Clarence “Barney” Chandonnet, and he preceded her in death in August of 2002. Survivors include four sons, Michael (Margaret “Peggy”) Chandonnet, Anthony (Joanne) Chandonnet, David Chandonnet, Patrick (Amy) Chandonnet; seven grandchildren, Luke Chandonnet, Leah Chandonnet, Stephon (Alyssa) Chandonnet, Molly (Michael) Olmsted, Gregory Chandonnet, Kaylyn Chandonnet, Audrey (Martin) Crawford; two great-grandchildren, Aiden Leek and Azlyn Crawford; and one sister-in-law, Karlene Swiatek. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Edward Swiatek, Stanley “Spike” Swiatek, Arthur Swiatek, Alfred Swiatek, Walter Swiatek, Raphael Swiatek, and Helen Frances “Frannie” Halasinski. The funeral service for Mrs. Chandonnet will be Thursday, May 26, at 11:00 AM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Entombment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Chandonnet may be made to Hospice of North Ottawa.
