Lillian Taulbee's Obituary
Lillian Taulbee, 96, passed away Monday afternoon, June 2, 2014 in Muskegon. She was born July 9, 1917 to John and Anna (Kalivoda) Sukup in Muskegon Heights, and lived her entire life in the Muskegon area. Lillian graduated from Muskegon Heights High School in 1935, had been a Girl Scout leader, and worked at Grossman’s Department Store and Knollview Manor Nursing Home. Most of all she was a wife, mother, grandmother, and wonderful homemaker. She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. On March 11, 1939 Lillian married Bert Taulbee, and he preceded her in death on April 30, 1976. SURVIVORS include her son-in-law, Thomas N. Tuori of Roosevelt Park; 3 grandsons, Tom (Mary Jo) Tuori, Jr. of Ada, Jeffery (Margaret) Tuori of Ada, Eric (Jocelyn) Tuori of Caledonia; 7 great-grandchildren, Brittany, Tiffany, Nicholas, Bayleigh, Catherine, Zachary, and Samuel; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 2 daughters, Barbara Bailey in 1996 and Sandra Tuori in 2014; 1 sister, Anna Lussky; and 3 brothers, John, Paul Jr., and Milo Sukup. The funeral service for Lillian will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3225 Roosevelt Road, with Pastor Paul C. Appold officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Mona View Cemetery.
