Lillian R. (Peplinski) McClary's Obituary
Mrs. Lillian Rita (Peplinski) McClary, age 84, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 23, 2006. Mrs. McClary was born on July 9, 1922, the daughter of Bernard and Lucille (Galla) Peplinski in Cedar, Michigan. On August 30, 1947, in Cedar, she married Donald L. McClary of Muskegon. She worked for many years as a saleswoman at Hardy-Herpolsheimers. For over 50 years, she was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Muskegon, the St. Mary’s Altar Society, the Polish Falcons and the Muskegon Town Club. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Donald; daughter, Michelle (Paul) Garzelloni; son, Scott (Gillian Sparkes) McClary; grandchildren, Paul, Lisa and Lillian Garzelloni; two brothers, Raymond Peplinski of North Branch and Edward (Beatrice) Peplinski of Maple City; five sisters, Irene (Ed) McClary of Ferrysburg, Marie (Leonard) Hurrell and Dorothy (Clement) Skeba of Muskegon, Theresa (Leonard) Schaub and Winifred Zeits, both of Lake Leelanau; and three sisters-in-law, Doris Peplinski of Vassar, Margaret Peplinski of Cedar and Georgiann Peplinski of Sparta. Mrs. McClary was preceded in death by parents, her infant sister Beatrice, sister Adelia (Moore) and three brothers, Aloysious, Bernard Jr., and Gerald Peplinski. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday, August 28, 2006 at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Ernest J. Bernott presiding. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Sunday evening at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W. Shermand Blvd., (231) 759-8565. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Sunday evening. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the Mass, 10-11 AM Monday at the church. Memorial Contributions in Mrs. McClary’s name may be directed to St. Mary’s Catholic Church Building Restoration Fund or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
