Lillian R. "Peg" Wood's Obituary
Mrs. Lillian R. “Peg” Wood, age 91, died Saturday, May 6, 2006, in Ravenna at the home of her daughter, Sandra. She was born September 9, 1914 in Paris, TN to Clifford & Bertha (Hardin) Kemp and has resided in the Muskegon area the past 67 years. Peg had been a supervisor at Goodwill Industries for 18 years and had previously been a seamstress at Hosler’s and other area merchants, prior to her retirement. She was a member of Hope Reformed Church and was a life member of the White Shrine. On November 25, 1936 she married Kenneth F. Wood and he preceded her in death on August 14, 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters, Inez Kemp, Cecil Cameron & Gussie Jones; and by a dear sister-in-law, Lil Paschall. SURVIVIORS include 2 children, Robert (Sheila) Wood of Sheridan, MI and Sandra Wood of Ravenna; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Bill Paschall of Memphis, TN, and by several nieces and nephews. SERVICES will be 1 PM Wednesday at the Sytsema Funeral Home
737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442 (231-726-5210)with the Rev. Steven Hyma officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION with Peg’s family will be 6-9PM Tuesday.
