Linda Marie DuBuc-Lapp's Obituary
Linda Marie DuBuc-Lapp, age 61, of White Cloud, formerly of Manistee passed away Friday, May 12, 2017, at Butterworth Hospital. She was born November 8, 1955, in Detroit, to Nicholas Albert and Juanita Ione (Chapman) Abid, and married Robert Douglas Lapp on July 7, 2007, in Grand Haven.
Linda received her Master’s Degree from Grand Valley State University, and worked as a social worker at Mercy Health Partners in Muskegon, and previously at Catholic Social Services. She was a member of St. Patrick-St. Anthony Catholic Church. She enjoyed music, movies, shopping, native American culture, spending time by the water, cooking, and photography. Linda had a special relationship with Jesus, which was reflected in her relationships with family and friends.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Robert Lapp of White Cloud; two daughters, Rachell (David) Mahoney of Spring Lake, and Angela DuBuc of Honolulu, HI; two sons, Kyle (Tara) DuBuc of Royal Oak, and Joel (Jessica) DuBuc of Grand Haven; her mother, Juanita Abid of Grand Haven; five grandchildren: Madeline, Alina, Jackson, Hayes, and Kennedy; step-daughter, Melanie (John) Smith of Copemish; step-son, Zachary (Christina) Lapp of Hemlock; one great-grandchild; mother-in-law, May DuBuc and her family; four brothers: Nick (Beth) Abid, Andy (Carol) Abid, David Abid, and Jim (Ann) Abid; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dogs, Ralphie and Maggie; her kitten, Ali-Shannon. She was preceded in death by her father, Nicholas Abid.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, May 18, 2017, at St. Patrick-St. Anthony Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Schwartz as celebrant. Friends may meet the family from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon prior to the Mass at Church. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery.
