Linda Mae McPhall's Obituary
The greatest love story in a generation came to a gentle and peaceful ending on December 26, 2017 with the passing of Linda McPhall. Linda was in her home, in her bed and surrounded by her loving family when she passed.
Linda is lighting up the heavens with her beautiful smile.
Mike and Linda met in the tenth grade at Muskegon High School. They started dating and fell madly in love with each other. That love grew stronger with each passing day for 57 years. They were totally inseparable for all those years.
They were married on June 26, 1965. Two years later they were blessed with their beautiful daughter, Molli. Three years later, their fabulous son, Michael II was born. After Mike was born they thought “wow we did it”. Molli eventually married their great son-in-law, Bill Horvath. Mike married their beautiful daughter-in-law, Barb. Mike and Linda were so proud of their life accomplishments.
Just when they thought things could not get any better, their beautiful granddaughter, Chelsea, was born followed by their fabulous grandson, Chris. They are a gift from God. Mike and Linda were so blessed to have been able to watch them grow and were so proud of the young adults they have become.
Linda loved family gatherings both at their home and at their cottage “up north” at Wolf Lake. They have so many special friends and wonderful neighbors at the lake.
In addition to Molli and Bill, Mike and Barb, and Chelsea and Chris, Linda is survived by her sisters, Deborah Knight and Janice Ward, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by the greatest grand-dog ever, Ryder Horvath. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Ruth Ward; brother, James Ward; and sister, Char Basch.
A private family funeral for Linda will be held. Arrangements by, The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100.
