Linda S. Schultz's Obituary
Linda Sue Schultz, age 73, passed away in Grand Rapids, MI, on Thursday, July 17, 2025. She was born in Muskegon, MI, on October 20, 1951, to Vernon and Doris (Gillette) Schamber. She graduated from Mona Shores High School and went on to work as a legal assistant and office administrator for various firms over the years. Linda was a very social person and was a friend to all she met. She loved to travel with her significant other, Tom, and the two of them explored much of the U.S. together, including many trips to Las Vegas. They were an inseparable couple for some 34 years, and life without her is unimaginable. She was a proud supporter of the Muskegon High School Band, volunteering whenever she could and chaperoning band trips while her daughter Lindsey was in school. Linda was an independent, feisty woman who cared deeply about those around her. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Linda will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lindsey (Ryan) Crockford; longtime significant other, Tom Andrews; two grandchildren: Lauren and Logan; two sisters: Sally (Freddie) Mitchell and Karen (Tom) Homa; three nieces: Jamie (Derek) Blodgett, Holly (Bob) Alderink, and Autumn Homa; and her past husband, Mark Schultz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Doris Schamber, and her sister, Peggy Schamber.
A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held for Linda from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at The Viking Lodge, 3132 Lakeshore Dr, Muskegon, MI 49441. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Muskegon Big Red Band Fund through the Muskegon Community Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 Sherman Blvd, Muskegon, MI, 49441.
