Linda L. Shavalier's Obituary
Linda L. Shavalier, age 81 passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022. She was born on April 27, 1941, to Louis and Lelia (Bean) Ruge in Rockford, MI. She spent many years working at Lee Products until 1972, when she dedicated her time to raising and supporting her family. On June 25, 1960, she married the love of her life, John Shavalier. Together they cherished 55 years full of love and laughter. Linda was blessed with a green thumb and enjoyed her arts and crafts. She will always be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, doting grandmother and great-grandmother, wonderful sister, and dear friend to many. She is survived by her 3 children, Russel (Ann) Shavalier, Rocky (Tammy) Shavalier and Monte Shavalier; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, Layton (June) Ruge. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Shavalier; daughter, Rhonda Smith; 2 sisters, Lila Olmstead and Lillian Ruth; and 2 brothers, Louis Ruge and Lyle Ruge.
