Linda Jean "Lynn" Thomas' Obituary
Linda Jean “Lynn” Thomas, age 67, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 16, 2026 at her home in Muskegon. She was born on September 29, 1958 in the Muskegon area to Allen and Winona (Spoor) Farrington and lived all of her life in the area. She was known as “Stevie” or “Stevie Lynn” to some of her close friends due to her likeness to Stevie Nicks. Lynn graduated with honors from Muskegon High School having been on the honor roll and was a proud Big Red Alumnus. She played amateur softball in her youth and was an avid reader who loved to visit the Hackley Public Library. Lynn enjoyed the outdoors, and loved walking down Rebel Road during Bike Time. She was a determined survivor of cancer 3 times – overcoming her breast cancer and mouth cancer. Survivors include 3 children, Ben (Heather) Cahill, Nicole (Rich) Thomas, Luke and Devon; grandson, Gabriel Cahill; and 2 sisters, Sandy Vanderkooi and Debby (Terry) Leonard. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Winona Farrington; her brother, Steve Farrington; her brother-in-law, Ron Vanderkooi; and grandson, Robert Cahill. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Evangelical Covenant Church of Whitehall, 900 Warner Street, Whitehall, MI 49461. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to Agewell Services of West Michigan.
