Linda L. Whalen's Obituary
Linda L. Whalen, age 70, passed away at home on April 24, 2019. She was born on August 30, 1948 in Muskegon. Linda worked almost 30 years as a lead person in the re-work area for Grand Haven Stamp Products. Linda loved playing softball, bowling, trips to the casinos and taking vacations. She also loved spending time with her family and making Christmas cookies with her grandchildren. On November 8, 1986 she married Benjamin Whalen and he survives her along with 3 children Michael (Shelly) Oswald, M. Lynn Oswald and Angela (Joshua) Conklin; beloved grandchildren, Bryan, Trevor, Ellie, Amber, Taylor and great-grandson, Raedyn; sisters, Diane Briskorn and Luana Maxwell; brother, Ed “Butch” VanNatter, Jr; along with many nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Ron and Lina Mae Clement and brother, Randy VanNatter. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 3:00 PM, Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS can be directed to Hospice of North Ottawa Community.
