Linda K. Willis' Obituary
Linda K. Willis, age 73, passed away at home Saturday, August 6, 2022, after fearlessly battling cancer for numerous years. She was born on November 21, 1948, to Oliver and Dorothy (Tucker) Ward in St. Louis, MO. Soon after, her family made their way to West Michigan, and it became Linda’s home. In October of 2003, she married Fred Willis. Together they cherished 19 years filled with love, laughter and many adventures. She was a spiritual woman and kept a strong faith throughout her life. Linda was an outgoing woman who enjoyed spending her time bowling with Fred, going out with friends, or having company over. She had a strong passion for music, even in her final days you could find her singing or listening to music. Linda was a talented gardener always tending to her plants coupled with a caring nature to all animals, especially dogs and birds. She was known for her homemade tortillas and her love for sharing her life stories and experiences. Above all things, she was known as being a “glam girl.” She was a fashionista and was always ahead of the trend. She took pride in her appearance and enjoyed getting dolled up daily! Linda was a woman who left an impact on those she loved and cared for. Her vivacious and tender-loving spirit will truly be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her 4 children, Ricardo (Nikki) Garza, Rhonda (Jerry) Gilbert, Melissa Reyes and Daryl (Marta) Tucker; 12 grandchildren, Brooklynn, Chloe, Leeza, Isaac, Andrew, Antwan, Nataly, Gizelle, Bella, Elijah, Ramando and Noah; 3 brothers, Gary Ward, Bruce Ward and Steve Ward; 4 sisters, Nancy (David) Anderson, Debbie Kelly, Annie Simpson and Jennifer Ellecey; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred Willis; and brother, Tom Ward. A Visitation will be held from 3-5:00PM on Friday, August 12, 2022, at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442.
