Linda Marie Batka's Obituary
Linda Marie Batka, age 64, of Grand Haven passed away Monday, July 31, 2006, at her home. She was born March 23, 1942, to Fred and Mildred (Wills) Glueck in Lackawanna, New York; and she married James A. Batka on January 9, 1971 in Grand Haven.
Linda was formerly a secretary for attorney Roger Cotner and for Gardner-Denver. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church where she had served as a Eucharist minister, usher, and volunteer with the marriage encounter group. Linda enjoyed her family and grandchildren, and watching figure skating and golf on television.
Survivors include her husband Jim; 3 sons, Brad (Michelle) Batka and their children Megan, Kaleigh and Jaxon all of Grand Haven; Jamie Batka of Grand Haven; Pat (Amy) Batka and their children Austin, Keegan and Landon all of Grand Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Millie Glueck.
The funeral liturgy for Linda will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Rev. William Langlois as celebrant. Friends may meet the family at church Thursday one hour prior to the service. Memorials to the family are appreciated.
