Lloyd Powell Aney's Obituary
Mr. Lloyd Powell Aney, age 87, passed away at home in Muskegon on Friday, July 7, 2023. He was born in Muskegon on January 27, 1936 to Robert and Mildred (Osborn) Aney. Lloyd worked as a delivery driver for Grabow’s Distributing for over 30 years prior to his retirement in 1991. Lloyd was a devoted husband, father, and friend. His number one priority was loving his family. He enjoyed traveling with his family and friends, and spending time at the family cottage on Silver Lake where he would often be found working on an engine or building a dune buggy. He was a talented woodworker, enjoyed working on Kevin’s Christmas tree farm, and was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. Lloyd was an avid sports fan and will be remembered fondly by his family for keeping them on their toes with his many shenanigans. He was a member of the Muskegon Vikings, Muskegon Eagles, and the former Lakeside United Methodist Church. On September 9, 1953, Lloyd married the love his life, the former Sally Ann Leaf in Muskegon and she preceded him in death in 2017. He is survived by two children, Debra Bolema and Kevin (Kerri) Aney; eight grandchildren, Keith (Heather) Bolema, Andrea Sullivan, Jason (Jennifer) Aney, Eric (Kelly) Aney, Marissa (Taylor Johnson) Aney, Mikayla (Jeff Young) Aney, Kelsie Aney, and Garrett Tate; 11 great-grandchildren, Paige, Cade, Zander, Parker, Makenzie, Josey, Jayde, Emily, Evan, Sophia, and Mylah; and his sister, Ruthann (Louis) Ihm. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally; son, Kirk Aney; daughter, Pamela Aney; brothers, Lee Aney and Butch Aney; and sisters, Geri Aney and Bonita Gifford. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held 10:00AM Friday, July 14, 2023 at Lakeside Cemetery. MEMORIALS in memory of Lloyd may be directed to the Harbor Hospice Foundation or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
