Lloyd G. Ross' Obituary
Lloyd G. Ross, age 78, passed away surrounded by family on Friday, June 27, 2025. He was born on September 2, 1946, to Marvin Lee and Lillian Waldine (Hacke) Ross in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Lloyd worked for Holland Sentinel for many years then went on to work in car sales for both DeNooyer in Holland and Betten Chevrolet in Muskegon until he retired in 2016. Lloyd was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 8846. Lloyd met the “love of his life”, Carol Ann (Emerson) DeLong in 1990 and they were married on February 14, 1991. Lloyd loved Carol for 35 years and there was never a doubt about that. In his last days he told her she was the “love of his life.” They enjoyed doing everything together, from camping, boating, collecting treasures and finding unique places all over to stop in for a bowl of soup. Lloyd loved to make something old look beautiful. He reconstructed many homes and always had immaculate yards. His number one hobby was collecting cars of all sorts over the years. Lloyd was a loyal man, if you knew him you knew he was always there for you, if need be. Survivors include three children, Deanna (Chris) Collins, Jason (Jamie) DeLong and Jeremy (Sarah) DeLong; and 10 grandchildren, Cody, Tyler, Logan, Jordan, Morgan, Paris, Addison, Gavin, Brayden, and Isaiah. Funeral Service will be held for Lloyd at 12:00 PM, July 19, 2025, at the Don Rea VFW Post #8846, 1061 Witham Road, Muskegon, Michigan 49445. Pastor Carlos Ramos will be officiating.
