Lloyd "Jack" Melcher's Obituary
Lloyd “Jack” Melcher, age 81, of Grand Haven passed away Monday, March 5, 2007, at his home. He was born December 12, 1925, in Grand Haven to John and Louise (Duda) Melcher, and he married the former Nancy Brosseit on August 13, 1955, in Nunica.
Jack was a lifelong resident of the Tri-Cities area and was employed as a piano inspector for Storey & Clark. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Grand Haven, a past commander of VFW Post #2326, and a member of the American Legion Post #28. He also served as the bugler for military services provided by the VFW Post #2326 and was well-known for his musical talents.
Survivors include his loving wife, Nancy; a sister, Mary Sabo of Fruitport; and many attentive and supportive friends and family members, including his loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
In accordance with his wishes, no service or visitation will be held. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery.
