Mr. Logan W. MacDowell's Obituary
Mr. Logan W. MacDowell, age 87, passed away Saturday evening, August 4, 2018, with his two daughters by his side. He was born November 20, 1930 to Howard and Blanche (Peterson) MacDowell in Muskegon, and lived most of his life in the area. He was a graduate of Muskegon Heights High School, Muskegon Junior College, Chicago Technical College and the University of Michigan. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed for 36 years by the Michigan State Tax Commission, retiring as a District Supervisor. He was an avid sailor and also enjoyed crossword puzzles and traveling. Survivors include two daughters, Lisa MacDowell (Chandler Gilman) and Laurie MacDowell; granddaughter, Thea MacDowell-Gilman; niece, Cindy (Brian) Francisco; several grand and great grand nieces and nephews; and his companion, Glenda Wall. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn DeYoung. A family gathering will be held at a later date.
