Lois Arlene Blanchard-Anderegg's Obituary
Lois Arlene Blanchard-Anderegg, age 89, passed away early Monday morning, August 2, 2021. She was born December 1, 1931 in South Borgman, MI to Harvey and Dorothy (Sexton) Bonney. In 1950, she married Albert Blanchard and he preceded her in death in 1990. Following the death of her first husband, Lois married George “Bud” Anderegg in 1992 and he also preceded her in death in 2012. Lois was a member of Sheridan Drive Baptist Church. She loved playing card and board games with family and friends and was very competitive, most of the time showing no mercy to her opponents. But most importantly, she was an awesome grandma to her grandchildren. SURVIVORS include her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Poe; 6 grandchildren: Dan (Donna) Blanchard, Joshua (Nicole) Blanchard, Jessica (Robert) Blanchard, Lisa Poe, Bruce (Mary) Anderegg, and Brenda Howe; many great-grandchildren; sister, Wilma Blystra; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, William French. She was also preceded in death by her son, Larry Blanchard in 1988; 4 brothers: William Gill, Robert, Wallace, and Gordon Bonney; and by a sister, Loryce Gill. A memorial service for Lois will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Sheridan Drive Baptist Church with Pastor Wade Rumley officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 PM Friday, August 6, 2021 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442 (231) 726-5210 with the Leffring Sisters singing at 7:00 PM. Burial will take place in Cherry Valley Cemetery at a later date. MEMORIALS to the Muskegon Rescue Mission will be appreciated.
