Lois M. Gilbert's Obituary
Lois Mildred Gilbert, age 95, of Coopersville, formerly of Ravenna, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Fountain View Assisted Living in Coopersville.
Lois was born on October 28, 1913 in Ottawa County, Michigan to the late Harvey and Mable (Stauffer) Averill. She married Kenneth R. Klein, then Virgil H. Gilbert and he preceded her in death.
Lois is survived by four sons: Ronald Klein and Leroy (Gail) Klein of Sparta, MI, Marvin (Anita) Klein of Claremont, CA and Roger Klein of Benton, AK; two daughters: Enid (Ed) Pierson of Clinton Township, MI and Kay (Mike) Kober of North Bend, WA; three stepdaughters: Beatrice (Jim) Christopher and Harriet (Bruce) Jones of Ravenna, MI and Dr. Mary Gilbert of Grand Rapids, MI; eighteen grandchildren and twenty seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents and husband Virgil, by one grandson, Chad Michael Kober and two brothers: Vernon and Forrest Averill.
A Memorial service will conducted Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 11:00am at the Ravenna United Methodist Church with Pastor Chuck Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 31, 2009 from 9:00am until the time of service.
