Lois A. Phillips' Obituary
Mrs. Lois A. Phillips, age 87, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023 in Muskegon, Michigan. She was born in Muskegon on February 12, 1936 to Howard and Dorothy (VanderBoegh) Jibson. Lois worked as a registered nurse for 16 years prior to her retirement and was a member of Port City Church. Lois was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword cryptogram and jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, and cross stitch. On August 26, 1963, Lois married William Phillips in Elizabethtown, Kentucky and they were married for 33 years prior to his death in 1997. Lois is survived by her three daughters, Stephanae Fitzgerald, Kimberly (Bradley) Smith, and Sandra (Willard) Hill; six grandchildren, Jonathon (Anna) McClure, Michael Hennings, Tyler Braeckeveldt, Allyssa (Jeffrey) Rubleski, Zachary Hill, and Alexander (Alexandria) Hill; eight great-grandchildren; and brother, David (Jane) Jibson. In addition to her husband, Lois was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Janice Hinks and Lorraine Brethe. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Friday, March 3, 2023 at Port City Church (3387 Heights Ravenna Rd., Muskegon, MI 49444) with Pastor Steve Derdowski officiating. VISITATION will be from 6-8PM Thursday, March 2, 2023 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 494444 and one hour prior to her service on Friday at church.
