Lois Rhoades' Obituary
Mrs. Lois Rhoades, age 87, of Spring Lake passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at home. She was born February 4, 1934, in Bald Knob, Arkansas to Alfred and Ida Bone. On August 31, 1953, she married Jimmie Rhoades and he preceded her in death on December 31, 2018.
Lois was a member at Christian Life Church and the VFW Women’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time in her garden, being with her family and spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Tim Schenck of Spring Lake; seven grandchildren: Adam Schenck, Rylee (Rachel) Schenck, Symon Schenck, Jason Schenck, Toni (Kevin) Stone, and Scott (Misty) Rhoades; ten great-grandchildren: Brady, and Spenser Schenck, Jack, and Ella Schenck, Madeline Tinsley, Preston (Malory) Goodall, Trenor, and Chandler Rhoades, Chloe, and Cameron Rhoades; two sisters, Nadie Duke and Velrie Louks. She was preceded in death by her son, Ray Rhoades; grandson, Bradley Rhoades; siblings: Madge Chambers, Vernie Bone, Neal Bone, and Elzie Bone.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at The Spring Lake Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 213 E. Savidge St. Spring Lake, MI 49456. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Lois may be given to Hospice of North Ottawa Community.
