Lois A. Sattory's Obituary
Lois A. Sattory, age 81, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 in Muskegon. She was born on January 29, 1940 in Muskegon to Amos and Marion (Weir) Judd. Lois worked as an accountant and cashier for over 30 years at Hackley Hospital prior to retiring. She enjoyed participating in 4H, photography, knitting, crocheting, her dogs, and being with her family at their cabin in Baldwin. On July 2, 1960, she married Gerald Sattory in Muskegon, and he preceded her in death on February 18, 2020. Lois and Jerry were former members of Christ Community Church in Spring Lake. They were also members of Vikings Linne Lodge #57 in Muskegon. Lois served as a long time board member of the Muskegon Pattern Makers Federal Credit Union and the Muskegon Co-Op Federal Credit Union. SURVIVORS include two children, SherriSue Ann (James Jr.) Johnson, Gerald LeRoy “Jerry” (Amy) Sattory II; five grandchildren, Josh Johnson, Erin Johnson, Elliot Johnson, Paige (Alex) Crouch, Rae Sattory; two great-grandchildren, Keith Woolery, Reaghan Johnson; brothers, Robert “Bob” (Bernice “Red”) Judd; sister, Mae Konya; and brother-in-law, Roy VanderScheer. Lois was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William “Bill” Judd, Donald “Don” Judd, and John “Jack” Judd; sisters, Betty Hoisington, Mary Mahoney; and sister-in-law, Sheila VanderScheer. A funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231) 798-1100 with Pastor Carlos Ramos officiating. Visitation with the family will be 5:00 – 8:00 PM Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, from 1-2 PM. Internment will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
