Lois H. Church's Obituary
Mrs. Lois H. Church, age 77, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2006 at her home. Mrs. Church was born July 17, 1928 to Edward and Elizabeth (Pelkey) Howard in Dayton Center, MI. On February 9, 1946 she married Duane Church in Baldwin, MI and he preceded her in death in 1982. Mrs. Church was employed by Howmet Corp. in the assembly department where she was a union steward. Mrs. Church was a longtime member of First Christian Church where she served as deacon, baker extraordinaire and was active in the Christian Women’s Fellowship. She was also a member of Rebekah Lodge and enjoyed gardening and yard-work. Lois was an unselfish person who was always there for others. She will be greatly missed by her 6 children, Carol (Daniel) Trowbridge of CA, Jeffrey Church of Northville, MI, Mary Church of Twin Lake, Terry Church of Peacock, MI, Todd (Rachel) Church of Muskegon and Brian Church of FL; 4 grandchildren; Dana Trowbridge, David Trowbridge, Melissa Church, and Joshua Church; 3 sisters, Beatrice Hendrie, Joyce (Vern) Brant and Louise Cosens and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Church was also preceded in death by her brothers, William, Raymond, Chuck, Clayton, Gordon, Leon and Charles; and sister, Dorothy. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 3:00 P.M.
