Lois M. Johnson's Obituary
Mrs. Lois M. Johnson, age 86, passed away Monday evening, May 31, 2010 at the Poppen Residence. She was born August 31, 1923 in Muskegon to Aubrey & Winifred (Elbridge) Wade and has been a life resident of the area. Lois had been employed by Bank America for 13 years prior to her retirement in 1986; and was a member of Hope Reformed Church. On November 30, 1942 she married Ora H. Johnson and he preceded her in death on May 31, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Pothoff, in January of 1983. SURVIVORS include 2 sons, H. Michael (Sue) Johnson of Muskegon and Robert Johnson of St. Petersburg, FL; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The FUNERAL SERVICE for Lois will be held 1PM Friday at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231-798-1100)with the Revs. Don Wood and Jonathan Phillips officiating. VISITATION: 12NOON – 1pm Friday. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, you are asked to consider Fruitport Lion’s Administrative Fund.
