Lonn O. Moran's Obituary
Mr. Lonn Ovid Moran was born July 12, 1956 in Muskegon County, Michigan to Ovid and Charlotte Moran. He passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021. He attended Oak Ridge High School and graduated from there in 1975. Lonn’s first job was at Plumb’s. After graduation, he worked at Story & Clark Piano in Grand Haven, American Electric, and ElastoDyne. In between the plant closures he learned how to run heavy equipment building a sales lot, how to install and maintain sprinklers, and how to build a log home. Because he was a “worker,” those new skills always lead him into the next job. He retired from the City of North Muskegon Department of Public Works in 2014. Lonn enjoyed his life boating, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, camping, and going to our cabin. But most of all, he enjoyed driving and collecting muscle cars and going to car shows. He is survived by his wife, Steph; brother, Steve; sister, Janet (Winkle); and many nieces and nephews. A private family visitation and burial will be held at this time. A Celebration of Lonn’s Life will take place in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lonn’s memory may be directed to Pound Buddies. Arrangements by The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Please feel free to share a memory with the family online at www.sytsemafh.com.
