Even though our hearts are broken, rest assure that our Grand Creator cares about you personally (1Peter 5:7) and can help you through this difficult time. Although I didn't know "Grandma Lora", I have a special relationship with her granddaughter Barb. Barb has always spoken very highly of her grandma and told stories of their relationship and memories they have shared...a relationship that each of us deserves to experience with a grandparent. I also had the opportunity to watch a video documentary of her beautiful life. What a testament to your grandma! I know that values are a large component of this family and I value the LOVE, and RESPECT that you share. God bless you with abundant joy, peace, love and happiness as you celebrate a beautiful life and an incredible family that stand for GOD, LOVE, and GOODNESS...each of which were taught by a very special lady, "Grandma Lora." Although I did not know Lora personally, I came to "know" her through her wonderful daughter Sue and Sue's daughter Barb. Every quality they possess...kindness, compassion, love of others...the list goes on and on...was inherited from Lora. How wonderful to know that Lora "lives" in each of them, and all the family, and her legacy will never die. God has called one of His treasures home and may you find comfort knowing God has His arms around her now and she is at peace. I shall miss her cinnamon bread/rolls also - no one could make them like she did! Believe me, I've tried. Our condolences to you all.

Grandma Lora came into my life just at the right time. Bryan and I were newly married and I lost my grandma a few months later. I felt as though I never lost a grandma. Grandma Lora treated me just like one of her own grandchildren. I loved the fact that I could continue to call out "Grandma". My cooking skills were brand new, to say the least! Bryan would always say "call Grandma, and get her recipe". I have many fun memories in the kitchen with Grandma making sure her grandson would not go hungry. From her famous pancakes, chili, peach pie and just last year she walked me through the whole cinnamon roll process. I am lucky to have known such a wonderful person. We'll continue to make memories at the cabin and when we catch big perch in Curtis, we'll be sure to think of you Grandma!!!! We love you so much. Bryan, Gina, Dylan and Carley

My sweet Grandma Lora! She was a beautiful woman inside and out. Her love was amazing (and so were her famous cinnamon rolls)! She was the ultimate care taker of the entire family, she loved all of her grandchildren so much and spending time with her and Grandpa was an absolute treat. Strumming on her guitar, curling my hair, baking and birthday shopping were just some of my favorites. I will remember her as the fun, happy healthy Grandma that she was most of her life. Altzheimer's disease may have stolen some of her memories, but I won't let it steal mine of her ~ during the last year, she grew closer in thought to all of those in her past that she had lost. Her Mother and Dad, her sisters and brother, Millie & Judy and many others. I picture her being greeted in heaven by God and all of those that she loved so dear...
I am blessed to have had such an amazing, wonderful, thoughtful, lovely woman in my life and the best part is that she trained her daughter the same way and I get to have her as a Mom! Thanks Grandma ~ until we meet again!
