Loren Eston Rose's Obituary
Loren Eston Rose, 65, of Muskegon, MI passed away unexpectedly on June 29, 2014 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Loren was a proud graduate from the first class of Oakridge High School in 1967. He was a veteran of the Armed Services, and served 2 tours in Vietnam. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 7729. Loren married his wife of 35 years, Kathy (Carson) Rose on September 16, 1978. He had a contagious laugh and a work ethic that was unmatched. For many years he was the sole income for his family, working swing shift at the paper mill. Mr. Rose retired from the Sappi Paper Mill in 2005. In his retirement, he enjoyed shooting guns, hunting, fishing, Lions Football games, walking his dog, Hallie, being involved with the Wolf Lake United Methodist Church and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; 2 daughters, Heather (Catalin) Rus and Tina (Anders) Carlson; son Douglas Rose; nephew, Jim Rose; Brothers, Harold (Ruth) Rose of Big Rapids, Jim (Doris) Rose and Gary Rose; sister Donna Ledger; and three grand-daughters he loved more than anything else in the world: Skylar Renee Vanzytveld, Taylor Marie Rose and Anna Rose Carlson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel (Emery) Rose and Harold Rose; sister, Beatrice Behro and brother, Fritz Ledger. A Memorial Service for Loren will be held Friday, August 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at First Wesleyan Church, 1040 East Forest Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442, with Pastor Bobby Cabot officiating, Arrangements by The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S.
