Loren D. Springstead Jr.'s Obituary
Loren D. Springstead Jr., age 85, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024. He was born November 8, 1938, in Muskegon to Loren D. and Gladys (Leady) Springstead. He served his country as a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Loren worked for Teledyne Continental Motors and L3 for 38 years before retirement. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting, watching the Detroit Lions and U of M football games, and a good game of cribbage. He also loved their family’s annual trip to the Upper Peninsula and was very involved in all his kid's sporting activities over the years. Loren is survived by three children: Sean (Mary Ann) Springstead of Ypsilanti, MI, Scott (Amy) Springstead of Spring Lake, and Shelly (Tom) Danieli of Virginia; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ken Leady; and sister, Patricia Rodes. According to Loren’s wishes, cremation will take place and private family services will be held.
