Lorene "Lori" M. Tolan's Obituary
Mrs. Lorene M. “Lori” Tolan, age 71, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 in Whitehall. She was born on June 11, 1944 in Detroit to Frederick and Leona (Haggerty) Schuster. While in Detroit, Lori worked at Detroit Memorial Hospital as a unit clerk. She worked in retail after moving to the Whitehall area in 1973. Lori was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Montague. On April 8, 1967 she married William “Bill” Tolan and together enjoyed almost 49 years together. She will be missed by her loving family, including her husband, Bill; son, Greg (Vicki) Tolan of Whitehall and their daughters, Haley and Jordyn Tolan; sister, Marlene Burke; siblings, William (Carol) Schuster, Darlene Koskyn and Ron (Teddi) Schuster; and many nieces and nephews. Lori was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother, Marie Schuster; and uncle, Bill (Sophie) Schuster. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11 AM Saturday, April 23, 2016 at St. James Catholic Church (5149 Dowling St. Montague, MI 49437) with Rev. Fr. Donn Tufts presiding. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service, from 10-11AM. Burial will take place in Fruitland Twp. Cemetery.
