Loren M. LaVassuer's Obituary
Mr. Loren M. LaVassuer, age 52, passed away suddenly in Muskegon on June 5, 2007. He was born August 12, 1954 in Muskegon to Bernard and Dolores (Dwyer) LaVassuer. He married Jan White on February 3, 1984. Loren was a collector, loved cooking, gardening and spending time with his children. He was a very hard worker and was employed as a welder at Bultema & Bailey Marine Construction for 15 years and for the past 10 years worked for Holland U.S.A. He is survived by his former wife, Jan; 1 son, Loren Lee LaVassuer of Muskegon; 4 daughters, Alicia Marie (Paul) Johnson of Kentwood, Audra Nicole LaVassuer of Muskegon, Cheri Renee’ Lewis of Grand Rapids and Cheyenne of Shelby; his mother, Dolores LaVassuer of Muskegon; 1 brother, Randy (Shelly) LaVassuer; 6 sisters, Carla (Al) McKnight, Charlene (Santiago, Jr.) Gonzalez, Rhonda (Tom) Hall, Karen Saylor, Joanne (Max) Puffer and Sharon (Harry) Hall; 6 grandchildren, Christopher, Cody, Hailie, Landon, Julie and Alexis; a brother-in-law, Ron Saylor; and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard and his grandmother, Rosemary Swinehart. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held Friday 3 P.M. at Norton Shores Gospel Tabernacle, 1253 E. Hile Rd., with Rev. Kevin McCormick presiding. MEMORIAL: Education fund for his beloved daughter, Audra.
