Loretta M. Brydon's Obituary
Loretta Marie Brydon, age 67, passed away Friday, February 16, 2024. She was born May 25, 1956 in Muskegon to Milton and Johanna (Styskal) Ripka. Loretta graduated in 1975 from Orchard View High School. She worked in the food and hospitality industry for many years, the last 10 of those at Sanctuary at the Oaks before her retirement in 2014. On August 26, 1978, she married the love of her life, Robert J. “Bob” Brydon Jr. in Muskegon at the former St. Joseph Catholic Church. Loretta attended Anchor Point Bible Church along with her husband, Bob. She loved a good bargain and would find them at the many yard sales and thrift stores visit on a regular basis. Most of all, she loved her time spent at the family cottage, cooking and taking boat rides. She will be missed by all who knew her. SURVIVORS include her husband of 45 years, Bob; two sons: Robert “Robby” (Yajahira) Brydon of Hudson, FL and Michael (Michelle) Brydon of Norton Shores; three grandchildren: Marissah, Weston and Morgan; sister, Marleah Kooi; in-laws: Louann Ripka, Mihaela Ripka, Debbie Ripka; and a niece and two nephews. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers: Joseph, Francis and Vincent Ripka. According to her wishes, there will be no services.
