Loretta M. Rop's Obituary
Mrs. Loretta M. Rop, 76, passed away Tuesday morning, July 1, 2014. Born to Steve and Irene (Berczely) Youngo, she was a lifelong resident of Muskegon. Mrs. Rop was a member of First Christian Reformed Church and currently of Calvin Christian Reformed Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, crocheting and was a loyal supporter of Western Michigan Christian High School and Muskegon Christian School. On September 16, 1961 she married Jason C. Rop, and he preceded her in death on August 18, 2013. SURVIVORS include 2 sons: Ronald J. (Kristi L.) Rop and Randall J. (Mary E.) Rop; five grandchildren: Aaron, Andrew (Cailin), Alex, Jillian and Riley; and two brothers: Robert (Barbara) Youngo and James (Betsy) Youngo. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be 1 P.M. Thursday at Calvin Christian Reformed Church (973 West Norton Ave.) with Rev. John Rop officiating and interment in Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the funeral service, from 12 to 1 P.M. at the Church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to Muskegon Christian School or Western Michigan Christian High School would be appreciated.
