Lori J. Metz's Obituary
Mrs. Lori J. Metz, 59, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at her home. She was born April 30, 1955 to Kenneth and Shirley (Luurtsema) Reenders in Grand Haven, and was a life resident of W. Michigan. Lori owned M & M U-Stor and Lock with her sister Robin and brother-in-law Kelly for many years, and was a member of Hope Reformed Church in Grand Haven. She also worked at Reender’s Blueberry Farms. She enjoyed arts and crafts, shopping, collecting, going to the cabin up north, but most of all her grandchildren and family. On February 7, 1976 Lori married Howard I. “Bud” Metz, and he preceded her in death on September 16, 2004. SURVIVORS include her daughter, Annette (Todd) Fowler of Muskegon; 4 grandchildren, Lauren and Logan Fowler, Kevin Grant, Chris (Heather) Grant; 2 great-grandchildren, Easton and Westlynn Grant; her father and mother, Kenneth and Shirley Reenders of Grand Haven; brothers and sisters, Robin (Kelly) McKay, Michael (Suzan) Reenders, Steven (Deborah) Reenders, all of Grand Haven; niece and longtime friend, Luanne King of Muskegon; many other nieces and nephews. THE FUNERAL SERVICE for Lori will be 11:00am Monday at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, 49444, (231) 798-1100.
