Mrs. Lorna Ann Muehlhausen's Obituary
Mrs. Lorna Ann Muehlhausen, age 93, passed away Monday evening, July 9, 2013, at a local nursing home. Lorna was born October 3, 1919, in Chicago, IL to Andrew and Lucy (Steffenhagen) Laemmermann. On February 9, 1946, she married William T. Muehlhausen and he preceded her in death on March 29, 1999. Lorna was as member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church where she was active in the choir and Women’s League. Lorna was employed for 16 years as an accounting clerk at Lumberman’s Bank, retiring in 1980. She then became an active volunteer at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed bowling and crafts, and spending time with her family. Lorna is survived by her children, Lenetta (Carrol) McCarty of Holton, Gale (William) VanHook of Yucaipa, CA, Glen W. Muehlhausen and Karen Bridges, both of Muskegon; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and extended family including 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, William, Lorna was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; 2 sisters and a brother. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11 AM Friday, July 12, 2013 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1215 Apple Ave., with her pastor, the Rev. Robert J. Conradt officiating. VISITATION will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at The Sytsema Chapel

and one hour prior to the service (10-11 AM) at the church. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church General Fund. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff of Sanctuary at the Park where she received such wonderful care.
