Lornella A. Faucher's Obituary
Mrs. Lornella A. Faucher, age 90, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025. Lornella was born on January 30, 1935, in Weare Township, Oceana County, to Joseph and Florence (Ziegler) Alvesteffer. On November 12, 1955, she married the love of her life, Thomas (Tom) E. Faucher, who preceded her in death on June 12, 2002.
Lornella worked for 26 years at Muskegon Community College in event planning, retiring in 1998. She loved the college, her colleagues, and her clients. In retirement, Lornella volunteered at Hackley Hospital and enjoyed travel. She also volunteered at a Glenside school children’s reading program and read voraciously herself, belonging to her neighborhood book club. Lornella was a long-time member of St. Jean Baptiste Catholic Church; she joined St. Michael the Archangel with St. Jean’s closing. Lornella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tom; daughters, Michelle Duram and Denise Videtich; and five brothers and three sisters.
Lornella is survived by her son, Mark Faucher; son in-law, David Duram; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and five sisters.
A private Funeral Mass will be held. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association or the Norton Shores Branch of the Muskegon Area District Library.
