Lorraine A. Bohannon's Obituary
Mrs. Lorraine A. Bohannon, age 93, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 in Muskegon. She was born on January 29, 1920 in Ann Arbor, MI to Richard and Estella (Lathrop) Southwick, and resided in the Muskegon area since she was a young child. Mrs. Bohannon worked at Terry Lee Market for a number of years, and previously at Woolworth’s. On April 13, 1939 she married Raymond K. Bohannon, Sr. and he preceded her in death on March 26, 2006. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Carolyn Shriver of Muskegon Heights, Judith Gerdes of Muskegon, Saralee (Craig) Gleason of Shalimar, FL and Raymond (Vera) Bohannon, Jr. of Manistee; 6 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Mrs. Bohannon was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 3PM Thursday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (213) 798-1100. VISITATION with her family will be prior to the service, from 1-3PM Thursday. Burial will take place in Mona View Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to Samaritan’s Purse will be appreciated.
