Lorraine M. Bush's Obituary
Lorraine Mary Bush was born on June 16, 1965, a firstborn child and daughter for Ken and Linda Craker of Muskegon, Michigan. She died on October 6, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon. Lorraine is predeceased by her beloved dad, Ken Craker; she joins him now to rejoice in Heaven and worship forever their savior, Jesus Christ. Cherishing her memory are her husband, Tracy Bush, of Muskegon, mother, Linda Craker of Muskegon, brother, Doyle Craker (Lorilee) of Grand Rapids, and sister, Jodi Connell (Mike) of Grant. Lorraine was a devoted, enthusiastic, and loving aunt to her nephews and nieces, Michael (Grace), Jake (Stacey), Ryan (Angelique) Connell; Amanda McHugh (Josh); and Jonah (Brenn), Ezra, and Phoebe Craker. She is also remembered lovingly by her aunt, Maryann Wallace, and her Wallace cousins; her sisters-in-law, Glenna Bush, Linda Brattin (Vern), Mary Bush-Torrey (John), and brother-in-law, Robert Bush, and her Bush nephews and nieces, Christina Minner (Rob), David Brattin and Dawn Brattin, Zach Torrey and Jacob Torrey, and other cousins and friends. Lorraine’s primary passion in life was her love for Jesus, her service to Him, and her desire that others come to know Christ as their savior. She lit up around her 17 precious great-nephews and nieces, Johnathan, Evelyn, Caiden, and Lincoln, Elliana, Emma, Jackson, Ava, Makenna Raine, and Bowen, Matthew, and Raelyn, and Noah, Ethan, and Brooklyn, Josiah and Isaiah. “Aunt Raine” was famous among her nieces and nephews for her bear hugs, her avid interest in their spiritual lives, and for spoiling them with weekends at her house, trips to the beach and zoo, and craft projects such as tie-dye tee shirts. Besides Jesus and Tracy, those kids were the loves of her life. She also doted on her dog, Max. As a paraprofessional in the Reeths-Puffer school district, Lorraine brought her loving heart to serve and advocate for teens with sometimes profound disabilities. Lorraine was talented in the kitchen and was a driving force in the family’s annual Christmas Eve tradition of making pedeheh (Ukrainian pierogies). She taught several generations how to crimp them just the right way. She also enjoyed crocheting and knitting and made beautiful afghans for her family members. Lorraine will be dearly missed by all who loved her. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” (Psalm 116:15). A Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Fifth Reformed Church, 2330 Holton Rd., Muskegon, Michigan. Visitation with the family will be from 1-3 p.m. prior to the service. Due to construction, the Holton Rd. entrance will be closed, please use the River Rd. entrance. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions directed to the family to help with medical expenses would be appreciated. Arrangements by The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
