Lorraine E. Szymanski's Obituary
Lorraine Elsie Szymanski, age 90, died Sunday evening, February 28, 2016, in Muskegon. She was born August 23, 1925 in Muskegon to William and Lila (Bird) Tierman; and had been a life resident of the area. Lorraine loved to crochet, sew and quilt; as well as cook and bowl into her 70’s. On December 12, 1947, she married Leon J. Szymanski and he preceded her in death on January 29, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Charlotte Posvistak and brother, Louis Tierman. SURVIVORS include one son, David (Barbara) Szymanski; and one daughter, Charlene Tiggelman; 4 grandchildren, James (Melissa) Posvistak, Andrea Posvistak, Lynette Tiggelman and Charles (Jenny) Huizenga; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Vernon (Linda) Peterson; 1 sister, Sally (Donald) Burch; many nieces and nephews and close friends, Paul and Donna Goode and Delores Place. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held 1:30PM Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442, 231-726-5210, with Chaplain Marilyn Rottschafer officiating. Burial will be in Norton Cemetery.
