Lorraine J. Wallace's Obituary
Lorraine Janet Wallace, age 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Sanctuary of the Oaks. She was born on July 15, 1932 in Muskegon to Earl and Mary (Valle) Pearo. Lorraine was an avid golfer and also spent much of her time reading. Lorraine and her husband, Byron “Wally” took several trips in their motorhome, especially enjoying their travels out west. She was very creative with her crafting skills and even made her kids clothes while they were growing up. Lorraine always wanted to help others and volunteered as much as she could. Her compassionate heart led her to her work as a nurse’s aide at Brookhaven Medical Care Facility for several years. Lorraine’s great sense of humor and love for her family will always be remembered by her daughters, Cheri Borns and Deb Willbrandt; grandchildren, Kirsten (Jason) Posthumus, Leah (Aaron) Michalson, Garrett Borns, Missy Rodgers, Jake Willbrandt, and Matt (Fee) Willbrandt; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron “Wally” Wallace; son, William Salsbury; sons-in-law, Randy Borns and Brian Willbrandt; former husband, Leonard Salsbury; parents; and several brothers and sisters. Per Lorraine’s wishes, a private family burial will be held at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
