Mrs. Lottie M. Stuparits' Obituary
Mrs. Lottie M. Stuparits, 91, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021, in Muskegon. She was born July 14, 1929 to Chester and Marcella (Serafin) Pecak in Rothbury, and moved to the Muskegon area in 1949. Lottie worked as a secretary at Mona Shores Schools for 23 years before retiring in 1992. Previously she worked at Teledyne Continental Motors. She was a longtime member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church where she had served on the finance committee and the funeral luncheon committee with her husband John. She also volunteered with the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary and the Red Cross. On June 25, 1949 Lottie married John S. Stuparits and he preceded her in death on January 27, 2015. Survivors include 2 sons: Jeffrey (Wanda) Stuparits and John (Nancy) Stuparits; 4 grandchildren: Melissa (Stephen), Michael (Michelle), John, Amy, two great grandchildren: Finn and Cora; several nieces and nephews. Lottie was the last of 10 children, having been preceded in death by 5 sisters: Stella, Nellie, Bernice, Helen, and Bernice (died in 1910 at age 2), and 4 brothers: Julius, Joseph, Edward, and Chester. A graveside service will take place Friday, April 16, at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Rothbury. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Stuparits may be made to the Muskegon Catholic Education Foundation.
