Mr. Louis J. Dumas' Obituary
Louis “Lou” J. Dumas, age 83, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016. He was born on January 31, 1933 to Joseph and Julia (Peterson) Dumas in Muskegon. Lou was a proud veteran of the United States Army, where he served in the Korean War. He loved boating and fishing, but his greatest love was spending time with his family and grandkids. Lou is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joann Dumas; children, Mike Dumas (deceased), Lynn (Doug) Smith; grandchildren, Emma Smith, Kedrick Smith; and sister Margaret Shannon. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe, Larry, John; sister, Jeanne. Per Lou’s request no services will take place. A private burial will take place in Laketon Township Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel, 737 E. Apple Ave. (231-726-5210).
