Mr. Louis A. Kotecki's Obituary
Mr. Louis A. “Louie” Kotecki, age 94, passed away Tuesday, May 01, 2012, at the Oakview Medical Care Facility. Born April 8, 1918, in Ludington, he was the oldest son of Anthony F. and Marie M. Kotecki. He was employed by Consumers Power Company of Muskegon for thirty-seven years. While living in Muskegon he met and married Emma Noel. He was preceded in death by Emma; his parents; two brothers and four sisters. He is survived by a sister, Josephine (Walter) Beyer of Ludington; a brother, Robert (Ione) Kotecki of Kalamazoo; and many nieces and nephews. Louis was a member of the Ludington Eagles and St. Simon Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and reminiscing with family and friends. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 10:00 AM Monday, May 7, 2012 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100 with Rev. Fr. Matthew J. Barnum presiding. VISITATION will be from 9 – 10 AM Monday. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1915 Park St. at Laketon Avenue, Muskegon, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oakview Medical Care Center in Ludington or to the Arthritis National Research Foundation, www.curearthritis.org.
