Mr. Louis T. Pappas' Obituary
Mr. Louis T. Pappas, 85, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 in Muskegon. He was born in Chicago, IL on October 25, 1928 to Thomas and Helen (Urbanski) Pappas. On August 23, 1975, Lou married the former Marilyn Frendreiss in Park Ridge, IL. They lived in Des Plaines, IL until 1979 when they moved to Norton Shores. Lou had worked in sales and service for several printing companies before retiring in 2003. He was the Secretary for the Fr. Jack Foundation and was a member of the Mona Shores Optimist Club. Lou enjoyed painting and was a wonderful cook. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Marilyn; seven children, Cindy Pappas, Thomas (Amy) Pappas, Susan Pappas, Louis (Roselyn) Pappas, Diane Johnson, Janet Pappas and Steven Pappas; 2 step-daughters, Deborah (Thomas) Merkel and Carolyn (Timothy) Timmer; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two sister-in-laws, Arlene Stewart and Connie (John Nendza) Erickson and dear friends, Donna and J.P. Ryan. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Terry Hernandez and one son, James Pappas. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Rev. Fr. Jack LaGoe presiding. VISITATION will be from 4-8 PM Tuesday. MEMORIALS to the Fr. Jack Foundation would be appreciated.
