She was born on February 13, 1935, to George and Rita (Anger) VanLuven in Port Huron, MI. She graduated from Port Huron High School in 1953, where she was part of the Christian Courriers Club. Louise married the love of her life, Richard Jones, on January 10, 1953. Together they cherished 65 years of love, laughter and faith alongside one another. Louise dedicated a lot of her time to her home and making sure her family was well kept, but she later went on to become an ordained minister. She was a faithful and dedicated servant of the Lord and had loved him for 85 years. At the early age of three, she began confiding in him and was filled with the Holy Spirit. She was very fluent in his word and gifted with the ability to speak in tongues. She worked alongside Richard and together they co-pastored various churches throughout Michigan. While living in Port Huron, she assisted at the Assembly of God and then when they moved to West Michigan, they made their way to the little red Fruitport Assembly of God church at 6th and Park Street. Louise was a huge advocate for educating the youth and was a marvelous teacher and speaker. She dedicated numerous years to Teen Challenge and devoted her gifts of the spirit to helping others. Louise had an unconditional love that she shared with many through hugs, kisses, home cooked meals and endless prayers. She had a radiant smile that could easily light up a room and her generosity spoke volumes of the woman she was.
