Louise R. Kramer's Obituary
Louise R. Kramer, age 103, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020. She was born September 29, 1916 in Muskegon to Henry and Clara (Achterhoff) Ter Borg and had lived most of her life in the area. Louise was a Board-Certified Level #3 Assessor and worked as a tax assessor in Whitehall and Muskegon Township prior to her retirement in 1973. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Thomas Kramer. Louise was a long-time member of Berean Church. She was also a gifted artist and especially enjoyed China painting. As matriarch of a five-generation family, she will be remembered for her acts of kindness that may have gone unnoticed by all except the countless recipients. She was loved and highly respected by her children and grandchildren and was a joy to all who knew her. SURVIVORS include 3 children: Ruth (Bob) Motta of Las Vegas, NV, Elaine Shumaker of South Haven, MI, and Thomas J. Kramer of Ada, MI; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: John and Louis Ter Borg both of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Louise was also preceded in death by 4 sisters and one brother. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest in Spring Lake Cemetery.
