Mrs. Louise M. Newton's Obituary
Mrs. Louise Mae Newton, age 56, passed away Monday, April 5, 2016 in Fruitport, MI. surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 6, 1959 in Pikeville, KY to Leon and Iola (Stevens) Elliott and was a lifetime resident of the Fruitport area. On June 25, 1977 she married Gilbert Newton in Grand Haven. She was a happily married homemaker and a 1977 graduate of Fruitport High School. Louise was a member of the West Michigan Street Rod Association and also the National Street Rod Association. Her family always came first but she also enjoyed camping, horseback riding and traveling. SURVIVORS include her devoted husband of 38 years, Gilbert; children, Angela (Joe) Watkins and Robert (Jill) Newton; 8 grandchildren, Jayden, Braylon, Morgan, Hensley, Hayley, Sydney, Tyler and Alyssa; brother, Kenny (Pam) Elliott. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11 A.M. Monday, April 11, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100 with Mr. Randy Crow officiating. VISITATION will be 2-5 P.M. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be directed to The Fruitport Lions Club.
