Mrs. Louise Elizabeth Orcutt's Obituary
Mrs. Louise Orcutt, age 95, passed away Wednesday evening, June 26, 2013, at home, surrounded by her family. Louise was born June 7, 1918, in Holton, MI to Ambrose and Elizabeth (Hartman) Willis. On March 2, 1935, Louise married Carl Orcutt and he preceded her in death on February 17, 1985. She had worked at the Gerber Baby Food plant for more than 20 years prior to her retirement in 1980. Louise was a member of Holton United Methodist Church. Throughout her life, she enjoyed traveling and, occasionally, gambling. If there was a social gathering, she was there; and ready to be the life of the party. She was also a member of the Holton American Legion where she was involved in the Texas Hold-em Tournaments. Louise was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend, and is survived by her children, Robert “Bob” (Marie) Orcutt of Twin Lake, Rosie Huntoon of Twin Lake, Carol Lazzaro of Stephenville, TX and Delbert “Butch” (Jolly) Orcutt of Montague; 23 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 54 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Carl, she was preceded in death by 2 grandsons, Rocky Orcutt and Alan Kulczyski; great-great grandson, Timothy Orcutt; and several brothers and sisters. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11 AM Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at The Sytsema Chapel 737 Apple Ave 231-726-5210 with Rev. Jerry Selleck officiating. VISITATION will be Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the family. INTERMENT will be in East Dalton Oakhill Cemetery.
