Louise P. Hartman's Obituary
Mrs. Louise P. Hartman, age 91, went to be with her Lord Monday afternoon, April 4, 2005, in Muskegon. She was born July 10, 1913 in Muskegon to August & Anna (Sandman) Pearson and had been a life resident of the area. Louise was a 1932 graduate of Muskegon High School and had been employed at J.C. Penney’s for 12 years prior to her retirement in 1983; and had previously provided custom draperies for many years, out of her home. She enjoyed the outdoors and traveling on various bus trips. Louise was a very active member of First Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir, served on the Board of Deacons and was a member of the Hannah - Mary Circle. She was also active in the Angell School PTA and was a Cub Scout Den Mother of Troop 24. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Carol (Thomas) Cole of Grand Rapids and Robert (Cheryl) Hartman of Norton Shores; 2 grandchildren, Christopher Cole of Chicago and Jennifer Cole of San Francisco; several nieces and nephews. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in 1954; her son, James, in 2002; her parents and by 3 brothers and 6 sisters. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 12:00 PM (Noon) Friday, April 8, 2005 at First Presbyterian Church, 2577 Wickham Dr., with the Rev. Dr. Fred Halde officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may meet the family one-hour prior to the service at the church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to Hackley VNS - Hospice or American Cancer Society will be appreciated.
